Helen was a classmate in LSU Convent , Banagher in the late sixties. She was full of high jinks and was regularly in trouble with the nuns and lay teachers ! We all loved the mischief she used to get up to as it brightened our boring daily routine and most of us wouldn’t dare !!!!!
And yes …….. she was forever laughing and spreading good vibes !
All my LSU friends are extremely shocked at Helen’s death .
The planet will be a lesser place without her. Rest easy Helen and thank you for all those happy times .

Time flies, yet in my heart I remember particularly a lovely afternoon spent with Aunt Sheila, taking to the piano for our children , who came to visit at the Green.

John, Paul and Margaret all young , taking in all the activity about them , with Alex and James, running in and out of the back garden, , fascinated with all the Roche sisters, plus Marcus moustache! They thought the back garden was a wonderland.
Helen was greatly entertaining, they loved her infectious laugh as well all the cooking that started in the kitchen. !
On the way home the children told me it was the nicest kitchen, with beautiful smells , plus the nicest cake they ever had!

Helen was my anam cara. I'm not Irish but I learned that word and it describes my love for Helen.
She was everything, brilliant, funny, wise, tender, caring, intuitive, I could go on and on, I was blessed and lucky and privileged to know her and to love her. I treasure the times I was with her and Marcus. It's a big loss for the world. She lit up our world with her presence.

Just to let Helen's many friends in Clara that I will be taking her ashes on tour to Clara during the summer in the middle of June and will keep you advised through this remarkable site that has brought great comfort to me since her passing last Saturday after a 3 year battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis and exemplary care and attention from Axarquia Hospital Comarsal, El Tomillar here in Torre del Mar ,the nurses, the doctors , pulmonologists and the voluntary translators. The hospital is a ten minute walk uphill from our apartment here. Our Spanish and overseas friends have been valiant in their support,comfort and understanding.
Thank you all for your beautiful messages....
