10 years ago Helen would in my book be described as the most wonderful woman ever in our town.

Now we've lost her it just goes to show she's the most brilliant woman we have had in our town ever.

The comments show as much.

She was a friend and a great boss.

But above all she was a friend and like a mam to me.

I was shocked and saddened to hear the news about Helen today. Sending all my love to Suzanne, Vicky, Claire, Joanne and Jimmy. I have so many fond memories of our childhood in Glebemount and our days at the beaches with Helen. May she rest in peace x

I worked for Helen and Jimmy in the Mariner years ago, as did my brother Niall after me. Helen was such a nice person to work with. True character is what you do when no one is watching and Helen’s kindness to the staff and customers is a trait that I will always remember. Condolences to Jimmy and all the family
