I was so very sorry to hear about the passing of Helena. I knew Helena for more than thirty years mainly through booking my family holidays and we had some lovely chats over the years. Helena went above and beyond the call of duty in her professional career so I can only imagine what an amazing person she was to her family and friends. Reading all the condolences gives a measure of the lady she was and a very kind and human person. My Deepest sympathy to all her family and friends on this sad time. May Helena rest in peace.

I lived with Helena in Belgard Downs nearly 30 years ago and there was never a dull moment. Helena was part of the Wednesday nighters for many years, we will never forget her infamous chicken dish! I visited Helena with Lilian Healy for a few hours last Friday. Despite being in pain and uncomfortable Helena still managed to have a good few laughs about old times. She was full of praise and gratitude to her two wonderful friends Cola and Lucy.
Lilian and I visited again last Monday but unfortunately Helena had taken a turn for the worst. I was extremely grateful to Ger, Colette and Katie for allowing us to take whatever time we needed with Helena.
Helena was intelligent and witty. She loved sports and was a great person to have on your table quiz team. She was full of fun but also had her vulnerabilities.
My deepest sympathies to Colette, Ger and Katie and I will be thinking of you during the difficult few weeks and months ahead.
Helena may you now rest in peace.
