They chatted to each other on the phone each night, they lived 2 doors apart for over 30 years and Mrs Collins was always there to support my Nana, and us, whenever she needed help in Marina Park. To Paula, Mark and Shane sorry I was unable to attend your mothers funeral today but I watched online.

My memories of Mrs Collins as she was to me are pretty much the same as most of the comments on here.

The lifts from town, the smiling face and chat. The friendly wave as she was driving out of Marina Park. A genuine caring person.

She took an intrest in people and enquired about everyone. There was always a welcome at the door if you called.

She will be fondly remembered may she rest in peace.

To Paula, Mark and Shane,
We are all so sad to hear of Ena's passing. I could write a book on her kindnesses to the Healy family over the many happy years we enjoyed as your neighbours. The many laughs between our Mums are legendary, my favourite being Mary locking her self into our tiny porch and Ena passing bulls eye sweets through the letter box as they waited for one of the lads to come and unlock the door.
The countless drives Ena was always so generous to offer, to ferry Mum here and there. The late nightly chats Ena and Mary enjoyed which included things like "Ena, I have swallowed my teeth, what will I do..?' of course Mary had not swallowed her teeth, but Ena took all the calls in her stride. It was the greatest comfort we all had knowing Ena would pick up the phone anytime day or night to speak to our dear mother and our appreciation and deepest affection will remain eternal for those memorie.
We hear less of such kind neighbourliness these days, I hold it in my heart with a smile and a thought of the great catch ups Michael, Pat, Ena and Mary are having now.
