My condolences to the Prior and Brett families on the sad passing of Helena. I had the pleasure of being taught by Mrs Prior when I was in junior and senior infants many, many years ago in Scoil Brid. She was a wonderful teacher and I always remember her with great fondness; she was a lovely lady, very kind, patient and fun.
May Helena rest in peace.

I’m so sad to hear of Helena’s passing. My deepest condolences to her cherished people - Hugh, Sinead and Sorcha and her extended family and friends. I am lucky to have worked with Helena and she has had an immense impact on my teaching career. She gave great encouragement and support initially which shaped my path. She then became a great friend, mentor and colleague. Her sense of humour was just brilliant. She was an amazing teacher - so knowledgable, inspiring and kind. She will be missed by many.
