Sincere sympathy to all the O Brien family on Harry's sad passing. I had the pleasure of working with Harry in CTC in the late 80s. He was a great help to me as a rookie and a great character. I never forgot his sense of humour. God rest him!

Deepest sympathy and condolences to Harry's family on his sad passing. My first encounter with Harry was when I was working in Heuston Station on a Sunday way back in 1972, making public announcements. Harry was a Traffic Regulator who relayed important information over the radio system on how trains were running. I later met him when I moved to Connolly in the rail office .He was a great railwayman and mentor and so enjoyed sharing his vast railway knowledge and I will always remember him as a very jolly person . My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this sad time . RIP Harry

Deepest sympathy to Harry's family and friends I was blessed to have Harry as a mentor when I joined the Rail Control,he was simply wonderful ,so jolly and knew every rail station in the country and every signalman and there was nobody he did not relate to and get a response from,he was unique, may he rest in peace.

Forty years ago Harry was a Traffic Regulator with Irish Rail and played a large role in monitoring all daily train movements including the introduction of the Dart. He was a great railwayman and mentor and so enjoyed sharing his vast railway knowledge with colleagues. My thoughts and prayers are with Kay and his family, who he often mentioned so fondly during the many chats and interactions we shared with him. Rest in peace dear Harry. MJA
