My sincere condolences to you on the passing of a wonderful man . As a fellow Knights cricketer , I got to know Henry over many years . Henry was always so positive, cheerful and welcoming to everyone, whether win or lose . I treasure the fact that I was privileged to have known Henry and I hope you may be comforted in the knowledge of what an impact Henry had on others during his life . Henry has left the field but his memory will remain , may he rest in eternal peace.

We were so sorry to learn of Henry's passing. A lovely gentle man, often with quiet words of wisdom to settle silly arguments. Lots of lovely memories of when we were all young and foolish in Cabinteely back in the 70's. Our sincere sympathies to Jacinta and the family.

Henry's Wit and Wisdom was matched by his infectious smile. I had the honour of sharing the cricket field with Henry on numerous occasions playing on his Taverners team or as the opposition Taverners.

We are abroad at the moment and unfortunately cannot make Henry’s funeral.Despite his illness
Henry never gave the impression that he was sick: he was always himself. Always the gentleman, quiet but funny ; always good company; always with a smile. He will be much missed in the Taverners cricket world, where he stood out for his his graceful batting. He will join with more than a few old Arthur’s Knights and Slammers friends in the great cricket pavilion in the sky. Ar dheis De go raibh an anam.

I remember him with great fondness as teenagers walking home from bowling

We were colleagues together since the 1970’s in the Bank of Ireland and have many great memories of our working and social times together. He was a true gentleman and will be greatly missed by us, now pensioners, who met in the Duke pub annually. His passing has made a large gap in all his old colleagues lives. May he rest in peace.

He was always a quiet gentleman who let his bat and bowling do the talking. He loved his cricket and was a pleasure to play with either at home or on tour. He added great fun to all club activities and we will miss his warm smiling happy disposition dearly.

We are so saddened to hear of Henry's passing. Henry was a gentleman. I worked with Henry, played football and cricket with him, socialised with him and in all those times, I never heard him raise his voice or hear him say a bad word about anyone. He was such a friendly and calm individual, a mentor and so easy to get along with. We have lost someone special and I hope that the respect and admiration that so many have for Henry gives solace to those close to him.
