Gerne erinnere ich mich an unseren Besuch bei euch in Listowel, meine Schwester und ich sollten englisch lernen und ihr habt uns sehr verwöhnt!

Schon lange ist es her, als wir auf unserer Hochzeitsreise durch Irland auch bei Icke und Heinz zu Gast waren. Aber so gern erinnern wir uns an die schöne Zeit und haben es sehr genossen bei den Beiden zu Gast zu sein.
Ich wünsche euch, dass Euch die Erinnerungen Trost spenden in dieser Zeit und umarme euch alle ganz herzlich!

Liebe Familie Weber,
einmal im Jahr, Ende Februar / Anfang März, kam mein Onkel Heinz zur Waffenmesse nach Nürnberg und wir trafen uns, abwechselnd, ein Jahr in "seinem" Hotel, dem Steichele in Nürnberg, ein Jahr bei uns bzw. nahmen wir ihn mit in eine fränkische Gastwirtschaft. Ich habe viele schöne Erinnerungen an diese Treffen, denn Heinz brachte mir immer tolle Geschenke mit: Eine CD mit irischer Musik, eine große Schachtel feinster Niederegger Ostereier, eine Kette mit hellblauen Halbedelsteinen, einen Plüschhund von Steiff, ein Buch über Komponisten... Einmal saß er mit einer Schachtel Milka Herzen in unserem Esszimmer im Lehnstuhl und sagte zu Stephanie und mir: "Ich möchte euch mein Herz schenken." Ein besonderes Highlight für mich war auch, als ich, in Ermangelung interessanter Gerichte auf der Speisekarte des Steichele, Blaubeerpfannkuchen zum Essen bekam und er mich danach fragte, ob ich noch einen Nachtisch möchte. Ich bestellte dann noch Apfelküchle mit Vanilleeis. So viel Süßes bekam ich sonst nie. Besonders gefreut haben wir uns auch, dass Heinz und Icke die beschwerliche Reise auf sich genommen haben, um mit uns unsere Hochzeit zu feiern. Wir werden uns immer gerne an Heinz erinnern.

Very sorry to hear of Henry 's passing. I have very fond memories of Henry from all those years ago. He had the parience of a saint when dealing with us unruly kids from Cahirdown when we strayed onto Jowika factory land!! My sincere sympathies to all of the Webers.
