Emily, Lillian and Avril,

Our deepest sympathy from Almonte, Ontario Canada. I knew Herb from the 1970’s family reunions in Cedar Hill, where he lived as a young boy. Cedar hill is where Richard Stanley, Herb’s ancestor arrived from Tipperary with his parents as settlers in 1834, carving out a farm in the then Canadian wilderness.

Emily and family, so sorry to hear of Herbs death. R.I.P. Our thoughts are with you at this sad time.

Sincere Condolences to the Stanley family on the recent passing of Mr Herb Stanley. Loughrea Lions Club exists today because of the vision, energy and goodwill of a number of people, one of whom was Herb Stanley. He served as president of the club for the first two years, back in 1983/84 and 1984/85, at a time when the club was trying to establish itself and find it's way. He continued as an active member for many years, and as a quiet supporter in the background for all of his life. Loughrea Lions Club would like to offer our sympathy to all of Herb's family. Be assured that he has left a legacy of generosity and community, in the existence of Loughrea Lions Club. May he Rest in Peace.
