Ruhe in Frieden, lieber Onkel Herbert.

Dear David and family,
Word just reached me of your father’s passing. Bereavement and grieving are not a matter of a few days, but of months and years, and I wish you strength on that journey. I remember Herbert as a man of quiet dignity. I’m sure that this quality helped him through life to the very end - and I trust that the memory of it will also help you.
Best wishes,
Anthony

We always referred to Uncle Herbert as "Herbie" My friends always referred to Uncle Herbert as the "matinee idol" owing to his great looks. He was always generous and fun growing up. Adored our Aunty Mai, as she did him. They built an exciting life together and many of our family have lovely memories being hosted by them in the various hotels down through the decades. Devoted to Andrew and David, Michele, Kieran and Grace. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam. Ruhe sanft
So sorry to hear this. Mr. Langwallner was a wonderful mentor to me as I started my career in hospitality at the Prince of Wales hotel in the early 70’s. Deepest sympathy to his family. Rest in Peace.
