The Keane and Fossett family shared a friendship for over 60 years through Fossett’s annual visit to entertain and incite magic during the Festival of Kerry and the Rose of Tralee Festival. Herta was a unique, brave, and wonderful woman. With smiling determination she took quiet satisfaction overcoming all obstacles thrown in the way of family members, generations of whom she sheltered under her wing.
She never tired of swinging from life's trapeze.
It was a privilege to have met her.

I will miss you and all our chats with the two of us righting all the wrongs of the world 😃. And what a privilege it was I got to spend some time with you hearing of your many exciting and sometimes tough life adventures.
We are all so sad now but in time we will be consoled knowing we have another angel in heaven looking out for us and you are with all our other family loved ones gone before you ♥️

Very sorry to hear of the death of Herta, a lady and a legend. My sincere sympathy to all members of the Fossett family whom I got to know through the late Austin O' Reilly. When Fossetts Circus came to Ennis I looked forward to bringing Herta her favourite treat, a whiskey cake from O' Connors confectionary shop.

My deepest sympathy to Eddie, Marion, Angela, Mona, and Robert and the extended Fossett family on the passing of your mother and our dear friend Herta. The matriarch of the Fossett family was an amazing and strong lady whose life revolved around family and circus life. I will miss the annual visit with Herta each year during the Rose of Tralee Festival and will fondly remember our chat and catch up over a cup of tea last August. Rest in peace Herta with your beloved Teddy
