I had the honor and privilege to deliver food to Hilary through the Ceres Program. After just 12 weeks, I got to know her well and cute little Hula. We had become such good friends that after Hilary was no longer in the program, she and I would communicate, and I would go to her home for tea and shortbread(her favorite) and I also brought lunch on another occasion. We shared life stories and our interests in plants (her orchids were amazing) and books(we both love to read)...when I did not hear back from her, I drove by her house on a delivery day -Thursday- and saw the drapes closed and furniture in the driveway. I knew something was up. When I got home that evening, I did a search and found this page...and was immediately saddened that this incredible person is no longer with us...may she rest in peace.
Hard to believe my dear friend and neighbor Hilary is no longer with us, I was the first person to welcome Hilary to our Park, my house sits on the backside of her garden, when walking down the driveway and hearing her talking to her beloved dog Hulu that is when our friendly chats started and a friendship began. It was a very difficult time, because she arrived here at the start of Covid and the lock down,
Hilary turned a very sad dark garden into a Paradise, it is beautiful.
We have spent many hours sharing life, gardening tips and just enjoying each others company, she was always full of spirit and enjoyed a good laugh, she was a delightful generous person, I know she has left a hole in all of your hearts.
Soon her Birthday will be here , and this year she will be spending it with the angels. Rest in Peace Hilary you will be missed.

We were incredibly sad to hear of the passing of Auntie Mona - she was such an inspiration to all of us, unfailingly thoughtful and generous of spirit she always kept in contact and never forgot a birthday! She was a wonderful sister to my mother Margaret who I know will miss her terribly as we all will. She will be fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. May she rest in peace.
Hilary (Mona) was my much-loved stepmother, the second wife of my father, Harold Stock. I have known her for most of my life, since my early adolescence. Hilary was incredibly kind, brilliant, and funny. I was amazed at how she kept up with the latest in apps and online communication, which makes sense given the value she place on connection. Hilary was responsible for single-handedly researching my father's family tree, and for re-uniting different branches of our family scattered by the diaspora and distance, to share our photos and rediscover our history. In doing so, she gave us an invaluable gift, and a deeper appreciation of family connection. She was an avid reader, and we often traded books when meeting for our respective birthday lunches. I am only beginning to appreciate the depth of our collective loss of our amazing and dear Hilary.
Mona lived a long and fulfilled life. She has inspired many of her extended family members to visit/live in her beloved San Francisco. She took Roger and myself to such beautiful places there and treated us like royal visitors.
I Know Liz had a special place in Mona's heart and she will be feeling her loss deeply. Aunty Margaret, you were lucky to have such a close and loving relationship with Mona and I hope you get comfort and strength from the happy memories of your times together.

Hilary, as I knew her, was a wonderful human being and bright light in our retirement community. When she moved in, we met walking our dogs. That was the beginning of afternoon teas, and my getting to know both Hilary and Hula. She was so down to earth, yet a spiritually wise woman who had the most beautiful garden. May her memory live on in our hearts!
So sad to hear of Mona's passing. She was a kind, caring and inspirational woman. She will be missed every day.

We were deeply saddened and shocked to hear of our Aunty Mona's sudden passing, she was part of our lives from our fist steps until the time she left us on Monday morning.
She was our exotic aunt that skied
In the mountains in California when we were young and the hip aunt that made video calls from her smart phone on her sun lounger in her new garden that she was so proud of.
She will be a huge loss to everybody who had the privilege to know her.
Margaret she will be a great loss to you in particular and our thoughts go to you most of all.
lovingly rememberd by your "lollipop".
May she rest in peace.

So many beautiful memories I will treasure dear Auntie Mona. From my time spent living with you in Nicasio to my years spent in CA and all your trips home to Ireland. You will be forever in our hearts. Thinking of all those who loved Mona near and far. Rest in Peace dear Mona. You will be greatly missed. Will always love you.
So many happy childhood and adult memories of our wonderful aunt Mona. She introduced us to so many wonderful things that lived with me through life. I will never forget her trip to Cancun to meet us after my father passed and evenings remembering him, laughing and sharing tales of her eventful life. To aunty Margaret and the Stock family my deepest sympathies. She gave so much to us without looking for anything in return. John O'Hara.
Deepest sympathy to Margaret and to all Mona's family. I have very fond memories of Mona and all the O'Hara family - our friends and neighbours in Monard Mills for generations. My Mam and Dad, Nan and Jack Hayes always looked on your family as part of our family too. May Mona rest in peace.
