I first met Howard at school. We were both about nine and in detention for talking in class.

As our friendship deepened I began to realize that Howard had one great ability that is sadly lacking in the world today.. Focus. The same focus that he brought to his models he also brought to world affairs. Never one to accept the headlines at face value, Howard searched for the story behind the story.
I miss him and hope that he's gone to a good place.

Having only met Howard initially in Oct. 2021, our overlap was indeed much too brief. A natural gentleman possessing a marvellously detailed knowledge of all things transport. He was only too willing to share that knowledge with others including myself. I believe he surprised us all with his very sudden passing. I don’t think that he himself had any idea this was so imminent. Rest in peace Howard & sincere sympathy to all of your family.

I have fond memories of visiting your wonderful house as a child, and I couldn't believe that an adult could enjoy "toy" cars as much as I did (though his were frustratingly unavailable to play with). And my dad had great stories to tell of their student days together.
