Sincere condolences to the Bredin family and extended families on Mr. Hugh Bredin's passing. He was a wonderful surgeon, and a really genuine nice guy. He operated on me for kidney stones back in 1979 in Merlin Park Hospital and I will be forever grateful for his kindness and the excellent outcome of the surgery he performed.

Only a few days ago, our younger daughter - who met Hugh at one of the European UEMS meetings we both enjoyed - was speaking of how much she enjoyed his company and gentle charm. He was an outstanding consultant & surgeon. I was a patient of his many years ago and I witnessed his wonderful operative skills & likewise the after care was more than I could have expected. We will never forget Mr Bredin.

My sincerest condolence to Mrs Bredin Diane and family. Mr Bredin was a great great man. I owe my life to him as he diagnosed my malignancy in 1999 and treated me in the most exemplary way. Forever im thankful to you Mr Bredin. Then in 2001 i had the greatest honor to be chosen as the Intern to his team alongside the great Mr Corocran.
