So sad to learn of Hugh's untimely death. I have so many memories going right back to our school days when we had so much fun. Canoeing over the fields when the Lee flooded and swinging from home-made rope swings in haysheds. On a New Years Eve party that we were invited to with a fireworks display, it suddenly started to snow. The Cassidy family so generously put everyone up for the night. Thinking of his family at this sad time.

Dear Aveen and all the Cassidy family,

I was very sorry to hear that Hugh passed away. When I remember Hugh I particularly think of the 'epic' Christmas Day morning gatherings in Inniscarra and happy times sailing around Kinsale Harbour on Sarabande. I'm pretty sure my father Declan still had his red Sarabande crew tee-shirt on the go many years later!

Long before he left Inniscarra, around the fireplace in Ma Twomeys before the dear old lady left us, Gary O Dwyer and myself marvelled at the rich baratone voice he had, and always wondered if he could sing....we never found out, but I bet he could.
