Mr Curran taught me when I moved from scoil Iosa convent. He was so kind to me. I will never forget how welcome I felt because of him.

So sad to hear of the untimely passing of Hugh. We had many great games together between our schools. There was a deep and mutual respect between us. Hugh was a real gentleman and I really valued his counsel His contribution to the Fingal league and Oliver Plunkett's was immeasurable. My sincerest condolences to the Curran family on their sad loss. Hugh will be in my thoughts and prayers

So saddened to hear of Hughs passing. He was such a big part of Ollies for me, my husband and our families. I had him in 5th class and many of my family had him. I'm so happy my own kids knew him in Ollies too. Sincere condolences to the Curran family & what an amazing tribute he received today xx RIP

Sincere Condolences on your loss of a wonderful man. Always smiling no matter the pressure. Children of the Arthur's family taugh by Hugh at the start of his career and in recent years our grandchildren the Brodericks. Malahide and St Oliver's will be the poorer with out you Hugh. Rip.

I am very sorry for your loss. I remember that every time I walked past Mr. Curran he had a big smile on his face. We always heard him coming because he was always messing with the change or his keys in his pocket. It will be an absolute honour to sing at Mr. Currans funeral on Wednesday. I will never forget him xx

My deepest condolences to all the Curran family, I am so sad writing this a true gentleman Mr Curran was my teacher in first class in 1988 communion year,my all time favourite teacher,my two girls attend St Oliver plunketts they never had him as a teacher but they adored him they cried when he retired and they cried today heaven just gained an all time legend rip Mr Curran
Hugh was a man that left a very positive and lasting impression on many children in St. Oliver Plunketts. Im sorry my own children won’t get to experience the same fortune. May he rest in peace. My thoughts are with you all.
