Condolences to Owenie, Jimmy, and to Hughie's children and extended family. As a next door neighbour growing up in the 50s & 60s, Hughie and his brother Ownie were like big brothers to me. I often travelled to football games with Hughie and have vivid memories of him starring for Knockatllon, Scotstown and Monaghan. His obvious skills as a player ,were matched by his great humility and kindness. May he Rest in Peace.
