Hugh McCahill

We were all so sorry to hear of Hughie's death. He played a huge role and did trojan work within Firhouse Carmel F.C. for many years, giving selflessly of his time and working tirelessly for the benefit of the young people of Firhouse. Sincere condolences to all the McCahill family.

I knew Hughie from my time with Firhouse Carmel. A true gentleman, a great support to novice coaches like me and the backbone of the club. It was with great regret that I heard of Hugh's death, may he rest in peace. A man of deep faith has gone to God. Hugh and family were such wonderful kind neighbours, with hearts of gold. Hugh had a constant reliable presence at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Firhouse, where he was sacristan for many years. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by parishioners and his many friends.
