It is with great sadness , I offer my sincere condolences to Bernadette , Maria , Ann , Hugh and their extended family and friends on the passing of Hugh.
I have known the family for over 5 decades and have worked in my younger years on Hughie's farm. He left an everlasting impression on me then regarding his love of farming and devotion to his family, Any work/task he undertook had to be of the highest standard. I maintained contact over the years and saw how the farm was developed under Hugh and in recent years by Hudie.
Off the farm, Hugh was very skillful in darts, rings, pool and other activities ; hunting etc. He was a gentleman and could be very funny and witty and story telling was second nature to him.I cannot forget Mary , Hugh's wife , who sadly passed on a few years ago. Great couple. I was alway welcomed to their house any time I called and a trip down memory lane was guaranteed with lots of laughter, tea and stronger beverages !!!!!
I could not attend the funeral service but watched the beautiful cermony on webcam with a few waves from the family. Nice touch and thanks. The many condolences and tributes are testament to the high esteem in which Hugh was held. Well deserved.
Finally , may Hugh's gentle soul rest in heavenly peace.
