One of the pleasures of being a local around St. Stephen’s Green, habitués of St Theresa’s Clarendon Street, or of the RIAC, was the frequent chance meeting with Hugh. Friend and fellow worshipper at Holy Mass, equally to be met of an evening sourcing the best of produce for supper it was always a memorable encounter.
We will always remember him with affection and sympathise with Tom on the loss of such a great companion. Holy Mass is being offered for the repose of his soul in the Cistercian Abbey, Roscrea. Friends for ever and always in our hearts.

Hugh always had a smile on his face and loved a laugh with friends. We used to meet in the gym mostly in recent years but had lost touch during Covid times and did not know of his illness. We are shocked and saddened by his passing. May he rest in peace.

He was a lovely caring person and always remember the first time I met them both on Marlborough Rd in July 2004. I deeply regret having lost touch over the past two years due mainly to unforseen circumstances but always had him in my thoughts. I will remember the many Airport trips with fond memories.
