Hugh (Patrick) O'Donnell

We were pals in school and played football together but like so often happens we went our separate ways through life. I never forgot Hugh and I'm saddened to hear of his passing , way too soon

Antonette and family .Hugh was a pure gentleman and it was a pleasure to know him and meet and chat with him on my route in balally talking about football and his love of soccer and Manchester city and of course golf ,joking and a laugh one of a kind Rip Hugh great man

So sad to hear of Hugh's passing, I had the pleasure to play golf with Hugh a few times and will always remember his wit and how he carried himself. Every time I seen Hugh he would ask about my dad Larry who he knew from Slade Valley and we would swap some stories. Meeting Hugh always made my day better, he will be missed by all who knew him. RIP

We were saddened to hear that Hugh had passed away.During his schoolboy days in Ballyfermot Big Hughie as he was known was a very valued member of the Cherry Orchard schoolboy team that dominated schoolboy football during the "Seventies".He played as an old style No 9, fearless and a prolific goalscorer.Sadly Hughie has joined other members of that team who have passed away, Jackie Jameson,Paul MaGee and Alan O'Connor.May they rest in peace.
