Sincere condolences to John, Rosie and all of Huizhong's family. It was with huge sadness that we learned of Huizhong's untimely passing. We are sorry to have missed the service. It was our pleasure to have known Huizhong. She stood out with her wonderful open, honest and genuinely warm personality. She will be greatly missed. May she rest in peace.

I met Huizhong many years ago, in Edingbough, when she was a PHD student, a very talented one. We have met several times again, the last time was in my house in Jamaica.

She was always very open with me, sharing her problems, asking my advice... Like a younger sister which I never had.
Impossible to believe that she is not here any more.

My husband Valeri, my son Gregory, my daughter in law Suhasini, we all remember her as a charming bright young woman.

My deepest sympathies. I had the privilege to work with Huizhong about 10 years ago in Dublin, during my early experiences as a mathematics tutor. We coordinated closely regarding first-year students, and her commitment to making a genuine connection with her students and building an effective team to guide their introduction to university mathematics was second to none. Although I was not a part of her class, I am not surprised that she will be sorely missed by her students and colleagues alike. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.
