I have very happy memories of working for Ian the summer I completed my Leaving Cert and the summer of my first year in university. He was kind, encouraging, good humoured and generous in so many ways. You, Cathryn, were just a little girl at that time and Stephen a little boy. I was shocked and saddened to learn that Stephen had died so young. My sincerest condolences to Cathryn, your and Stephen's families and all Ian's relatives and friends.
