I first met Ian in the mid eighties through Jimmy Byrden & Phillip Phibbs. We had many a pint together en-route to soccer and rugby internationals and up in the Goat watching Ireland in Euro 88. We kept contact throughout the years through a common interest in the Irish teams, Chelsea FC, Rock n Roll et al.
I would like to thank him and Arthur very much for the warm welcome they gave me on my visits to their home in Shanganagh.
I will miss this man dearly.

My deepest sympathy to you Arthur on the passing of your lovely son Ian. What a character! Ian had a brilliant sense of humour and a warm heart. He will not be forgotten. Rest in Peace Ian.
So sorry to hear of your loss Arthur. My big memory of him was when he was in Philip's bedroom organizing the placement of the walkie talkies they both had on the ceiling!! I have no idea what this was about, but I gather Ian was the technology expert always!! What a character he was! May he RIP.

I was so sad to hear the news of Ian's passing. I remember playing snooker after school with him and his over arm style was so unique. He will be missed.
