Ian was an incredible godfather. Never forgot a birthday or Christmas, and every Easter brought with it the largest of Easter eggs. The most exciting part of Easter for me was waiting for Ian’s easter egg because it was guaranteed to be the best one. As an adult though, I can appreciate the fact that he was also a huge support in even more meaningful ways, attending all my concerts and childhood celebrations (and adult ones too). I’ve been very lucky to have a god father who played such an active role in my life. I’ll never forget Ian’s laugh. Even in the busiest of rooms, it would draw people in. Condolences to Ann, Barbara, Helen and all the family.
