We are deeply saddened to hear of Ian's passing. He has been treating us for many years and as well as being a very gifted osteopath, he has been an extremely helpful, caring and genuine friend. We will miss Ian so much.

After giving birth, I found myself in a situation where I couldn't walk. It was a challenging period, and Ian was the one who truly understood the extent of my pain. We met every week, and while he worked on relieving my physical discomfort, he also had a unique way of easing my emotional burden through meaningful conversations about life and family.

Ian often shared stories about his own family, and he spoke with great pride about his daughters. These conversations not only provided comfort but also served as a reminder of the importance of cherishing family bonds. Ian's compassion and care extended beyond the realm of osteopathy, and I will forever be grateful for the kindness and understanding he showed me during our time together.

I am sharing my sincere condolences with you in this difficult time. I was devastated to hear about the passing of Ian who I esteemed a lot.

About 3 years ago, Ian helped me start a journey towards better physical health and therefore mental health too. I met Ian at one of my lowest points after having tried different practitioners - with no success whatsoever. I met Ian through an acquaintance and his experience, care and knowledge had given me new hope and had a life changing impact on me.

Ian was always working hard and always made sure that I left with my issues addressed. I was genuinely looking forward to the sessions and I always learned something new.

During our last session together, I shared with Ian all the things that I was trying to work on and improve and he said something that stayed with me since : 'make sure to enjoy the journey'.

I will always be incredibly grateful that our paths cross. Ian was a good man and I will miss him. I will do my best to ensure that I enjoy the journey.

Dearest Masoumeh, Nielufar, Raanah and Sorayya - I have just this minute discovered that Ian has joined Bijan. I have never met you but from the day I started treatment with Ian in 2012, I have heard about you. The love and pride he felt for you was deeply apparent. I loved our conversations, generally on the themes of love, loss, trauma, healing and spiritual experiences. I considered our conversations to be as important a part of healing my crooked body as his expert osteopathic care. I sent friends and family to him for treatment, describing him as scientist, detective and magician all rolled into one. I am bawling crying here, knowing that I will miss him dreadfully but I am consoled that in recent years he found a deep and profound peace after the devastating loss of his beloved Bijan. I hope all of you find peace too. I also send you love, lots of it.

I am shocked and very sad to hear the news of Ian's recent passing. I was a patient of Ian's for the last few years, and he was a wonderful healer and one of the most intelligent and informed people I have ever met. I looked forward to my weekly treatments, not just because of my improved health due to his osteopathic genius, but also because I always left having learned something new. There was nothing Ian was unable to give a deeply considered knowledgeable and thoughtful opinion on and I learned so much from our fascinating discussions.

One of the things we talked about most often was our families. His love for his family was something he talked openly about, and the pride he felt for his three beautiful daughters, his wonderful wife and his late son Bijan and their many accomplishments and gifts he spoke of at length. He was so happy after taking a recent holiday with his family for his birthday, and afterwards shared that he hadn't had an opportunity to do this in recent years, and talked about how they had spent their time together and the joy it brought him.

I am thinking of his family and friends at this extremely difficult time, and I pray you have all the love and support you need around you. I will keep you in my thoughts.
