Another great celebration of Natie’s life today with Mass & once again lovely music, played by special friends . May Natie now rest in peace and rise in glory .

Dear Comeford family,

I wanted to share a small memory of Natie that has stayed with me over the years. I met him a few times as a young teenager in the early 90’s through my uncle, Jim Sorensen. Even though I can’t recall ever having a proper conversation with him, I’ve never forgotten the impression he left on me. With his wild red hair, long beard, and unpredictable energy, he was unlike anyone else I’d ever met at that age. He could be funny, and chaotic at times, and I remember my friend being a bit terrified of him - but not me. To me, he was fascinating, like a storm you wanted to watch unfold.

Though I only knew him briefly, Natie’s uniqueness and untamed spirit are things I still think about all these years later. He left a mark in his own way, and I hope it brings you some comfort to know how vividly he is remembered.

My earliest Musical experiences were Led Zeppelin and Marc Bolan on my home made Record Player. Live:- Rory Gallagher at City Hall (Thanks to the Bouncers letting a couple of kids in) Next we spent a few nights with the Hippies in the Stables at Charles Fort. This included my first time seeing and hearing someone play an Acoustic Guitar in front of me. I have worked in Music for 60 years, nothing has ever bettered that first ear and mind opener. Thank you Natie.

Natie was a kind and generous man.He treated everyone equally regardless of social status....many a good night of music and discussion in Café Lorca many years ago.Condolences to all the family

Sincere condolences to the Comerford family on the death of Natie,great memories of him in cafe Lorca in the early hours of the morning giving his opinions on all worldly topics,religion politics literature,music above all,and in between all those discussions he would show us his great musicianship on his guitar playing classical pieces,he was always a great guy to have a conversation with.
A coincidence just a fortnight ago Bill Daly proprietor of cafe Lorca passed on,I'm presumeing Natie and Bill will be planning a new cafe Lorca in the heavens, no knocking on the door we all will be able to go straight in.

Sad to hear of the passing of the legendary Natie, he certainly knew how to have the craic. Deepest sympathy to Paddy and his brothers, wider family.
