My prayers, sympathies and thoughts are with Imelda's family, friends and former colleagues. My memories of Imelda from our days in Ballyfin are of a dedicated educator, an enthusiastic colleague, and person of deep care. Lord, welcome Imelda into your presence, reward her goodness, grant her eteral peace.

I was absolutely shocked and saddened to hear of Imelda s untimely death last night. I had the privilege of teaching with her in Ballyfin for a decade back in the 90's. She was a wonderful colleague and her humour would lighten up any room. Imelda may you rest in peace in Heaven among the angels. Sincere condolences to all of the Healy family.

My deepest sympathy to all the Healy family on the loss of a cherished sister and aunt.
I had the good fortune to meet Imelda when we shared a dorm in Loreto Hall, Stephen's Green & travelled to UCD each morning for lectures. I recall pure hilarity on those bus journeys as we nervously shared all the novel observations of our new surroundings. Our friendship endured through flat sharing and a summer as chambermaids in London and a stay in each other's homes in Freshford and Bunclody where I had the great pleasure of getting to know her lovely family. Imelda, you were one bright, shining star of the best human qualities and may you rest in eternal peace close to your beloved parents.

Ms. Healy was a great teacher and I would often think of my time in MCS and our Geography classes. She gave so much time and energy to her students and truly inspired us to strive for more, especially when SRPs were involved!

I had the pleasure of sharing a house with Imelda back in 1977 on Shelburne Rd, Ballsbridge, along with some of her close friends. The most vivid and fond memories I have of Imelda are her sense of humour, kindness and beauty. What a lovely person she was!

Imelda and I came to London together in 1976 after uni and worked for Waterford Glass.
Such wonderful memories of Imelda in that hot summer and our time in uni together.

Imelda was such a vibrant part of last year's Hedge School in Moone and she was fondly remembered when we gathered on Saturday last for our workshop.
People spoke and wrote warmly of her laughter, her support, her kindness and her ready smile and we shared some of her writing.

As Raymond Carver wrote in his poem Late Fragment:

And did you get what you wanted from this life, even so?

To call myself beloved.
To feel myself beloved on the earth.

I have just watched Imelda's funeral Mass. It was lovely to hear about the rich and fulfilling life she led since I knew her in our student days. We shared a flat and house in Dublin over two years. Imelda was special and unique. Angela you always brought chocolate biscuits when you visited.
My sincere sympathy to all the family, you will miss her so much. So sad to see a life cut short. I hope she is flying high somewhere wonderful now.
