Deepest sympathies to Mel's family. I met Mel only once, at a family wedding over two years ago and fell in awe of her immediately. She was a vibrant character of steel, regaling me with stories of my Grandparents in Killiney, where she played with my aunt as a child. A piece of history has passed away and I am glad to have met this treasure of a lady.

Jackie, Yvonne, John, Gerry, Paul, so very, very sorry to hear Aunty Mel has passed away. She was a true lady with a strong heart of gold. When my own Mam passed away Aunty Mel was a tower of strength to me. She's back with Gerry,

I was so lucky to have Auntie Mel as my Godmother, she turned up year after year on my birthday and always with a lovely gift. We lost contact as I moved to Australia and then reconnected a few years back. She gave me the 'widow's survival' talk after my husband died and we had lovely chats and catch ups during my last couple of visits. She was a smart and independent woman and a great conversationalist and incredibly stylish.

To all the cousins, though it's been years and years, sympathy to you all from the Kings in Australia.
