Sincere condolences to Iomars family and loved ones on this terrible loss. I was lucky enough to meet Iomar on a summer in Toronto in college in 2004 and we had great fun. He was such a kind fun and humble person despite his formidable achievements. A gang of us travelled to mountbellew for Iomars 21st birthday party and we had great fun celebrating him and very much enjoyed his parents hospitality. Although I haven’t seen him since college I always had very fond memories of our friendship.

Iomar and Bernadette, the Costelloe and Barrett families please accept my deepest sympathy on the untimely passing of Iomar Og. He is now over his sufferring in this world. May He Rest in Peace. Life is so unfair , I can only imagine the heartache and sufferring you all are going through. You all are in my thoughts and prayers Josephine

The complete gentleman.. I was lucky enough to play football with him in the snow in Zurich, then ski in the snow down the road with him.. annoyingly brilliant at both, but he would never have said that.

So very sorry to learn of Iomar’s passing.
A very small consolation is that his suffering is now at an end.
He was an extraordinary person of exceptional talent in so many spheres of life. We learned from Ronan and Jane of their special friend Iomar who possessed remarkable talents and abilities. Later we met Iomar on a number of occasions and our lasting memories of Iomar are of being a true gentleman, great company, modest about his achievements and above all had an innate decency in his person. Departed from this life far too soon.
