Only heard of Irene's passing recently.Having worked with her many years ago she was someone you could never forget.May she rest in peace.

My lasting memory is June of this year with Irene at table number 1 in Toners remembering Big Dec. Irene rang the pub earlier to book the table and we reminisced about Dec. Nothing would have stopped her being there, such was her strength. Rest up dear Irene we will miss u dearly. Lv and hugs Xx

So sorry to hear that Irene has left us. My sympathy to her Dad Joe and all the family circle. I worked in the same area as Irene in DAFM way back in the late eighties but often had a chat with her as we both continued to work in Ag House. She always had a lovely smile and an infectious laugh. She will be missed. Rest in peace Irene.

So very sorry to hear of the sad passing of Irene an old school friend ..we met up a couple of yrs back to celebrate a Friary school reunion in Dundalk she had never changed a bit.We were also at secondary school together in the Louis convent. I can never remember Irene in bad form she was always so friendly and bubbly, a very genuine and caring girl.My condolences to her dear father and family.May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Irene you will forever hold a special place in my heart, the laughs and chats we had when I would go down to dad's office after school. I would never get my homework done because we we're constantly talking and laughing about everything. You gave me some great advice over the years.I know you have suffered alot over the last number of years so you're at peace now. Hope you're having a cuppa and a good catch up with everyone up there. I'm so sad to hear of Irene's death. She was a friend & colleague of my brother Gerard in DAFM. But I personally really got to know Irene when our mothers were residents in Dealgan House. Many a late night chat and giggles were shared in the carpark! Rest peacefully Irene after such a long, hard journey. You will be remembered fondly. Deepest sympathy to her Dad, and close friends.
