Irene brought such understanding, love, spiritual knowledge, quest for deep learning, and thought to our Meeting and to the wider Quaker community. Her wisdom and presence will be missed but our memories of her will continue to enhance our lives.

My condolences to Rene's family. I was blessed to meet Rene when she visited Martin during a trip to America and to visit with her in Rosmuc and Blackrock.. I remember hearing of the "80" club and I envision Rene and her cousins having a joyful reunion in heaven. May you each be comforted by heartwarming memories of your shared experiences.

Our deepest condolence for the loss of Irene. She was so open, knowing no cultural or other boundaries and ready to speak and live out her convictions where she is prompted to do good. A great example to us all ! Thank you Irene.
My sincere sympathies with all Irene's family and friends. I appreciated very much her deep spirituality and genuinely ecumenical disposition that brought her though many changes throughout her long and brave life. Dublin Quakers will miss her gentle presence and her infectious laugh very much. Sonas na bhflaitheas dá hanam uasal.

My deepest sympathies to Irene’s family and friends. She was the most wonderful neighbour and friend to me and my family. We had great conversations and I always came away from her door feeling enriched by her words and her warmth. I will miss her terribly.
My sympathies to Caitlín and all the family. Irene was a dear and wonderful friend. A true lady (spéir-bhean) of courage compassion and conviction who even in her latter years showed interest, curiosity and passion for high causes. She will be missed by her Friends in Monkstown and well beyond. Her memory is a blessing.
It is with great sadness that I have learned of Irene's death. She was a dear friend, a companion on adventures intellectual and practical. Her wisdom and tact will be sorely missed. To be sure, to everything there is a season.... Still, one looked forward to another few years with so loving a friend.
My sincere condolences to Irene's family members and to all who hold her memory dear.
