My condolences to the family and friends of lovely Irene. I was a pupil of St Brigid’s in the 90s and remember her kind face, gentle nature and hard work well. May she RIP.
So very sorry to hear of the passing of Irene x She was a true lady. I had the pleasure of meeting her while we both worked in St Brigid’s GNS, Killester and we discovered we both had strong Leitrim roots. May her gentle soul rest in peace x

On behalf of the staff and community of St Brigid's GNS Killetser, I offer my sincere condolences to Irene's family on her passing. Irene was a treasured member of our school staff for many years. Full of fun, divilment and extremely kind to all! As a staff member put it, Irene was a "Brigid's legend!" May she rest in peace.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.
So sorry for your loss, may Irene rest in peace.
Cómhbhrón ó chroí to all of Irene's family. What a lady. Working with her in St. Brigid's was a joy. She brought a huge amount of old sayings based on nature and weather etc. from Leitrim to Dublin and of course she never forgot her roots. We were all enriched by her wit and sense of humour. Leaba i measc na naomh agus na n-aingeal Irene.
Thinking of irenes family at this very sad and difficult time. We had some great sing songs with irene in tlc.

Sincerest condolences to the O'Meara family on the death of your wonderful mother and grandmother, Irene. Your mam was one of a kind. What a worker. I have never seen a woman of her age with so much energy. Irene was such a wonderful colleague who always had a smile and a greeting for you everyday. But for Covid, she'd still be hard at work in St. Brigid's. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Deep condolences from the Mullen clan. Strange how both of our parents went in the same years. The mystery of life, I suppose.
Irene was the light. Everything she did was with love and it transferred into everything she did. She was such a joy to be around. I will never forget her spirit.
