I will always remember Irene's kindness, generosity and sense of humour when I met her first as a trainee in Revenue in 2017. I met Irene again last year in D'Olier Street and was again reminded of her kind spirit. My deepest sympathies to all of Irene's family.

I still can't believe that Irene is gone. At work she was approachable, willing to share her vast knowledge and made a great Mentor to all staff. She sat the Institute exams so that she would experience the same challenges as her staff. She encouraged many to go for promotion helping with application forms and then giving Mock interviews. She was kind hearted and generous, supportive of many good causes. I have great memories of her at Table Quizs, International Women's Day breakfasts, A Mask Ball and our last outing The Remembrance Tree in Dundrum. Glasnevin Toastmasters will miss her as a Leader and committee member. We enjoyed her many speeches and stories, not all were Tall Tales. Most of all I will miss her friendship and love of fun. To Brendan, Shelly, her adored grandchildren and her siblings I offer my sincere sympathy on her death. Rest in Peace Irene I was privileged to call you friend. Bernadette

Irene was joyful, bringing a smile into every room. Her enthusiasm for life was infectious, and her love of music was forever part of the conversation.

Irene was generous with her time, always warm, welcoming and willing to help. It was a pleasure to have worked with her as long as I did.

She spoke so lovingly of her children Bren and Shelly, her grandchildren, and her sisters and brothers.
