Sending my sincere sympathy on the loss of Iris. We had many good times together in Mothers' Union back in the 1990's and early 2000's. She was so kind and caring to me in what was a difficult time in my life. I will never forget her.

She was an inspirational teacher, erudite and wise, with a great passion for teaching English. She was both respected and loved by her students especially in her role as year head. Iris was my teacher for 1 yr in 1983 & she made more of an impact on me than all my other teachers put together. For the very first time a teacher saw what I could do, rather than tell me what I couldn't. We kept in touch for many years. She was a remarkable lady. Rest peacefully Iris, your work is done x
