I would like to express my deep sadness at the death of Iris. We were lovely Bridge friends and over the past few years, I have missed her delightful sense of humour especially when playing Bridge. I am also very sorry that I have been unable to attend the funeral service for her. May she rest in peace.

I loved my Auntie Iris dearly as did everyone who were lucky enough to have her in their life. Iris was an incredible force for good and without doubt made this world a better place.

She was rightly very proud of her children and grandchildren and absolutely adored them.

I will fondly remember her compassion, her quick wit and cheeky sense of humor. Her laugh was infectious. She was an absolute joy to be around and an inspiration.

She will live in our hearts forever.

I'm also incredibly grateful for the biscuit cake.

Iris was founder and a key member of the St. Mary's Art Group, which, over the years, has become a contributor to the cultural life of the Howth community.
With her wit and wisdom she would be certain to sprinkle some magic on whatever enterprise she was involved with at the time. Otherwise she could be found charming others to add brilliance to worthy endeavours.

Iris won friends very easily; we met over thirty years ago in a writers group, where she was most generous with her advice and her sparkling wit. She was also a brilliant bridge player and was one of the founders, with her husband Derek, of St. Mary’s Bridge Club. It is a very sad time for her family, and I wish to offer them my sincere condolences.
