So sorry to learn of the passing of Isobel. I first got to know Isobel many years ago when we worked in the same business in Rathmines. Over the years Isobel proved herself to be a rock for our family and a safe harbour in times of trouble. I miss her constant smile and cheerfulness.

To Tracy & Tia, Andrew & family, I have just heard about the passing of Isobel. I’m so sorry for your loss. Isobel was a great captain. I too have lovely memories from GB ‘ back in the day’ & how she would never forget birthdays & would bring cake for everybody for after brigade. One of a kind.

Isobel was a dedicated Girls' Brigade captain and I appreciate all the time she gave to running 6th company. I particularly enjoyed a trip to Chester with GB and carol singing in the neighborhood at Christmas time. Condolences to her family.

So sorry to hear of Isobel's death. She was a very special person and a great ambassador for Girls Brigade. I have many happy memories of Isobel. She will be greatly missed. My sympathy to all the family. With love and prayers.

Deepest sympathy to Tracy, Andrew and all the family and friends on the passing of Isobel. It was with great sadness that I learned of her passing and to have been unable to attend her funeral service.

Isobel, Ken, Tracy and Andrew welcomed me into their home for four years while I was in College in Dublin. My memories of your hospitality and kindness over those years are dear to me and highly treasured, and were always filled with happiness and generosity. I was welcomed as one of the family, and I share in your sadness at the loss of a dear and special lady and friend.

She was enormously generous with her time, to so many, and in so many ways, especially through her dedication and unwavering commitment to the Parish and Church at Holy Trinity Rathmines, and to the Girls Brigade.

I also offer my sympathy with Isobel's friends, especially Edward and Betty, who I know were such an important part of her life.

My thoughts and sympathy to you all..

May her reward in heaven be fullsome, as is so richly deserved.

I am heartbroken to hear of the loss of such an amazing woman.

Isobel was always so welcoming to everyone she met. I have fond memories of being invited to go carol singing with the Rathmines Girls in the coldest days of the year and then back to her house for soup.

She was so encouraging and the biggest supporter of every girl who passed through her life whether as a member of Rathmines GB or the GB swimming Club.

She pushed you to be your best and she was not afraid to let you know when you were in the wrong. The fact that so many people to this day still called her Captain says it all.

We, in The Girls’ Brigade Ireland, were shocked and saddened to hear the news on Tuesday of the sudden and unexpected passing of our dear friend Isobel.

Isobel was a wonderful, dedicated, loyal member of our organisation who will be forever remembered throughout Girls’ Brigade circles both in Ireland, Europe and Worldwide as she was someone who, through her life, touched so many people in so many different ways.

Isobel was a truly inspirational, gracious lady, who was such a wonderful ambassador for The Girls’ Brigade Ireland. Isobel will always have a positive and lasting influence on the lives of those that were lucky to have met her. She was strong, with friendship, encouragement and support, always being centre and foremost in everything she did.

Isobel has enshrined her knowledge, wisdom, love, generosity, dedication and loyalty of this amazing organisation in all the leaders and girls that were part of her GB life and we will be eternally grateful to her for that.

She was such a part of Holy Trinity and I am upset that I won't be able to join other mourners there tomorrow in the flesh. Her legacy will be all the women whose development from explorer age and up she enhanced.
