Ita will be sadly missed by the pupils and staff of St Malachy’s BNS Edenmore. She always welcomed us to the church, going above and beyond , opening and locking up after us when we needed it , before the First Confession, Communion and Confirmation.

Sincere condolences to Ita's family. But for the restrictions imposed on gatherings, I know that the church would be teeming over with Ita's golfing friends from Balbriggan Golf Club where she was loved.

Ita served as chairperson on our Board Of Management for over 20 years . Her contribution a service that provides nurture and support to local children and families will not be forgotten by all here. As a former colleague of Ita’s, I was very sorry to hear of her passing. It was always such a pleasure to deal with her. She was a lovely person. Nothing was too much trouble for her and her calmness under pressure was a comfort and an example to all who worked with her.
