Ivan McGee

Dervilla and I are saddened to hear of Ivan’s death.Lord rest him. Our friendship goes back to 1964 and I thank God that I kept in touch with him over the years.Audrey,Ivan and their parents were true friends.Treasured memories of the Mc Gee Memorial Hall, and my thanks to the Kilmacshalgan Church of Ireland who gave it to us ,rent free, for our newly founded ICA branch meetings nearly sixty years ago. What a lovely ecumenical venture at that time.
My sympathy to all of you, but especially to Eunice and Deirdre.You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Ivan was always generous with his help and advice, he had a great sense of humour ,an appreciation of his community, and was kind to his neighbours, regularly visiting those that were unwell in hospital.One of the real characters and gentlemen of the area has gone.

Deeply saddened by his passing. I'm grateful for getting to see him in the nursing home. He sat with my mother sometimes there. So many fond memories throughout the years. He always had a smile when he met you. He used to smile also when he used to warn us not to misbehave for our mother and father. Condolences to all the extended family.
