Ivan Rigney

I have only just heard of Ivan’s passing and my heartfelt condolences to his family on your loss.. I knew Ivan through through work and what a pleasure to have known him as he always had a smile for you. Can honestly say it was a privilege to have known him and will be very fondly remembered..

So sorry to hear about Ivan. Condolences to all the Rigney family. Great memories of our time at Tuchenhagen, Siemens and our trip to Philadelphia in '99 for the marathon. RIP.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Ivan. I have great memories of him over the years with our sons playing on the same rugby team in Old Wesley.

I was very sad and shocked when Ivan was in touch few weeks ago to let me know that he was climbing his last, metaphorical mountain. However, his positive mindset was exactly what I would have expected from him. He was always a ray of sunshine, even when things were rough.

My most sincere condolences and sympathy to each and everyone of you on your great loss. Ivan was always an inspiration for me, in the classroom, on the mountains, and in life. I know that he was so much more to you all and only hope that you are able to let memories of the good times you had with him comfort you in your loss.

My deepest sympathies to Ivan’s wife Olivia, his children and the extended Rigney family on the really sad passing of Ivan. I was very fortunate to spend a good few years of my business life working with Ivan, first hiring him as a young engineer in Tuchenhagen Ireland and later working together with him in NoritSudmo/Pentair. Ivan was a great engineer but more than that he was a great people person and therefore had a great career in sales and business leadership. For a number of years we would meet quarterly in Germany or Holland for Norit business meetings and we had so much fun and I will always remember the great times we had together. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend his funeral but you will all be in my thoughts and prayers at this very sad time for your family.

Des and I are both deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Ivan. We knew Ivan in college and have wonderful memories of our times together. We shared a house in Walkinstown after our college days were over. Those wonderful memories will also remain with us. Met him many times over the years and it was always big smiles for each other.
