Dear Joan and the wider Walker family,
We visited you three times since 1980 over there in Dunkineely Donegal. Each time you and Ivan received our spontaneous visit with kindness warmth and love and a seat at your table for a few hours. Thank you for giving us time with our Donegal family. We had grown up with Grandma (Elizabeth Acheson Walker) and Mum (Maybelle Trotter), Ivan’s first cousin, talking about Sparmont and Rahan. We have known them all our lives and loved them from this distance. So I felt sad hearing of Ivan’s death. I have a really lovely photograph of Cousin Ivan sitting in his chair in the chimney corner when we last visited in 2016. We remember you both fondly and send our love and heartfelt sympathy.
