Jack Bohan

To Eileen and family, Patrick and I would like to convey our sympathies on your loss. Jackie was a lovely man, very kind, always had time for people. I have happy memories of Jackie, Eileen and all the family visiting our house in Clonskeagh. Mum and Dad and he and Eileen had great nights out. May he rest in peace.

Whilst very saddened, I was so glad to be able to travel over to see, and say goodbye to Uncle Jackie. And to give big warm hugs to Aunty Eileen, Audrey, Eileen, Jennifer and John. Cathal has really said it all in his message. To add, Uncle Jackie was our 'Rock', especially so since the passing of Dad. We have so many wonderful, amusing, hilarious moments together, notably during our unique Christmas Family times in Stillorgan or Humphreystown. Uncle Jackie received a memorable send-off - a truly beautiful Service in the Church, and an even more beautiful, deeply meaningful and heart-touching Ceremony in the Chapel beside the Crematorium. Always thinking of you, our wonderful Bohan Family. Sending strength and courage to you and all 'other halves' and little ones, to manage your very sad loss, in the coming days, weeks, months.

I knew Jack from when I joined the ESB in 1967 and started at the Generation Training Center in Ringsend, where Jack was my brilliant tutor. Later I would spend some time lecturing at ESB's GTC myself - and under the management and mentoring of my Very Good Friend, Jack, a gentleman and a kind-hearted boss - who helped me in many ways through those years. I will never forget you, Jack Bohan.
