Jack, I have lovely memories of you when you came over to Wales to visit. We took two of my greyhounds for a walk which you thought was wonderful. When yours stopped to cock his leg I'll never forget your face !!Or what you said !!! The world has lost a special person .RIP Jack

Rest in peace Jack. It's been a pleasure to be a small part of your big life. I will always remember your beautiful smile, a smile that always brightened my day. Everybody that knew you, loved you, truly one of a kind. Rest easy.

We watched the lovely funeral mass for Jack today, it was wonderful and we did appreciate the comments about Jack's life at the end of the mass. We will miss Jack also.

Growing up in Eden Villas all those years ago, everyone knew Jack. He was one of the real characters in the Villas.
Many many years later, I bumped into him a couple of times with one of his SJOG friends. And each time he seemed as happy as ever with his big smile and hearty handshake.

So sad to say farewell to the legend that was Jack.
Though you were a man of few words your face, smile and laughter lit up everyone who were privileged to get to know you.
Marg recollects with fondness his trips to America and the UK and the many visits to us in Ballymore.
He loved our dogs and the outings to the High Chapperal Pub where everyone wanted to be his friend.
The staff of St John Of God gave Jack the greatest care and love through most of his long life. We are indebted to all - present and past.
I only got to know Jack in the past decade but I must admit he managed 'to run rings around me' in his typical impish way.
On behalf of myself and Marg we would like to say - goodbye old friend.

My condolences on the sad passing of Jack. I used to meet him out walking with my dog many years ago he was a lovely friendly man. He was with SJOG staff and when he got to know my dog Charley he used to love to see him coming along Sallyglenn Road and Charley would let him pet him and give him a hug. You were indeed a very special soul Jack always smiling may you now rest in Perfect Peace with those loved ones who have gone before you. xx

It's hard to see you go JE. Working with you for over 4years was a pleasure. You fought a good one and you are resting. Sad to see you go but I believed you are sleeping under the hands of our beloved father in heaven.
