We would like to thank everyone for their kind words and for their support over the past few month. It really helps to deal with a loss when so many people show up and offer kind words about our parents, who will both be extremely missed. Our dad sure was a gentleman who helped a lot of people. A very hard working and “present” dad who made us very proud. His authenticity and great character is what set him apart. RIP dad. Take care of mam x

Jack was a great friend to me when I moved to Dublin in 2010. I remember him at one end of the bar in Brogans and Mick at the other. 2 legends, now both gone. Apologies I couldn’t attend the funeral today but I’ll visit him in Glasnevin soon.

Condolences to Damien and family at this sad time. Great memories of Jack from the Iveagh Grounds and, of many years ago, when I needed help in my house and Jack introduced me to his "apprentice" Jonny, both then thankfully got the house sorted. RIP Jack.

My godfather jack great character, I never forget when my da only passed away and was during the Covid he would make his way around the back lane and pop his head up to chat to us and tell us story’s of old times especially about the football times they had, he was a great man and will be remembered rest easy jack im sure Ellen had her arms wide open for you love Karla Kane

Deepest condolences to Jack’s children and extended family on his passing. I had the great pleasure of playing football with Jack for Cashelvilla FC. A very good footballer even in his advanced years. In later years I often talked too him as he sat in his front garden enjoying the Sun or if the weather was inclement he would always wave out from the front window. A lovely, lovely man. One of life’s gentlemen. Jack will be sadly missed by all those who had the great pleasure of knowing him. May Jack’s gentle Soul Rest In Peace.
