Jack McSharry

I met Jack as he was cycling by me one day as I was running on Ross Road. After that initial meeting Jack would never pass without saying hi and passing a few kind words. I will greatly miss seeing Jack around town and have lovely conversations with him. Condolences to his family and friends. 💔

To Maureen, Eileen Ann who I knew growing up, I am so sorry you have lost Jack. He was an important character in Killarney with his wit and energy and light! He will be missed.

To Mark, I only ever heard Jack talk about you and we never met but I know if you are anything like him you are on a great road. I am so sorry for your loss. May your father rest in peace and you in love, it knowing what a character he was and how only good and funny memories of Killarney and London spring to mind when I and everyone I know speaks of Jack. May you and all your family find times of solace as you move forward in your grief.

So sorry to hear of your loss. His great ability to chat would lift anyone’s spirits . I hope your good memories will give you courage and strength going forwards.

It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that we extend of sincere sympathy to Jack’s son Mark and the McSharry family.
Jack was a larger then life character and it was a privilege to have called him a friend. He had time for everyone. He had many passions in life but for sure being a dad was his life. He always spoke so highly about Mark. He loved and adored you. He was so proud of you.
His voice and laugh will no longer be heard echoed on the streets of Killarney. His huge smile and welcoming nature will no longer be an experience for anyone. His wisdom and advice will no longer be given so generosity and so sincerely.
His love for Killarney and everything to do with Killarney was incredible. Jack was one of Killarney’s pillars one of Killarney’s gems and as a town that is what we have lost.
May you now be welcomed into our Lords home by your parents and loved ones that have gone before you. May your gentle giant soul now rest peacefully in our Lords arms and may you now reap the benefits of your kindness and sincerity.

His love for Killarney, for what he believed in and later his son was something he was very proud of and loved to talk about. Jack was in many ways unique and Killarney has lost one of a kind.
