I have so many great memories of my early teens spending time in the garage in Alexander St with Mr Morrissey as i called him then . So many day's after school in the cork rd. Jack was always in great form and always a smile and plenty of chat , which he never lost . He always had a cheeky grin , which he had till the very end . Enjoyed meeting him over the year's, he was a true gent . May you rest in peace Jack 🙏. To sister's Rose and Pat and brother Paul , my condolences to you also , great neighbours in Hennessy's Road . I met Jack in the early 70s when I made teak windows for him, and later he repaired my opel kadett in 1975. He was a lovely gentleman may he rest in peace.

The first time I met your Dad was many years ago when he helped myself and Catherine out of a fix by repairing our battered and bruised Fiat 127 when we were newly married and had very little money. I met the lovely Jack Morrissey many moons ago in the late 60s when I was a young teenager looking for an after school (pocket money)job. I strolled down Alexander street one Saturday morning and came across Jack who was standing in his garage wearing his overalls and happy face and beautiful white hair and I asked him was he looking for anybody to help around the garage to which he replied of course I am and I will see you on Monday after school it was the start of a lifetime friendship with Jack and his wonderful family to this very sad day when Jack passed away . I was privileged to have known this beautiful person who was always a joy to be with, Sincere condolence to Pat Jai Brian and Siobhán and extended Morrissey and Murphy family and friends.
