Sending my most sincere condolences to Dermot, Ruth, Ella, Ned, Naoise and all Jack's extended family and friends. I was lucky to know Jack both in the ISK and TCD. A friendly face that will never be forgotten. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. May he rest in peace.

I was lucky to become friends with Jack in first year in Trinity as we were psychology classmates. I have so many fond memories with him including numerous college trips away. Jack was truly one of a kind. His laughter, smile, humour and generosity will never be forgotten. He was always looking out for others and I am honoured to call him a friend- and what an incredible one he was. Jack is so missed by all of us. I would like to express my sincere condolences to his family who have been in my thoughts since his passing. May he rest in peace.

I was fortunate enough to know Jack in 2021/22 when he was a tutor and grinds coordinator in the voluntary tuition programme at Trinity. He was always dependable, friendly and lovely to be around during committee meetings and during grinds. He was so dedicated to the society and always made others feel at ease with his smile and warm personality. I remember he once cycled for several hours on a stationary bike in the Arts Block as part of a fundraiser for our programs. I am so very sorry to hear of his passing, and will be keeping his loved ones in my thoughts.

Life is finite, like a star it glows and burns bright, and then is lost for ever. But for a light to go out so early is a tragedy from which I hope Jack's family and friends will eventually recover.

I hope you're smiling down on us from heaven, the same way I remember you always smiling when you were around. Although I only knew you from college, I feel privileged to have met such a wonderful and unique person. You will be missed

I am so sorry.

We would like to offer our sympathy to the O'Grady and Mc Loghlin families on the loss of Jack. Though we never met Jack, I used to hear a lot about him from his late grandmother Ann when we met. The love for her grandchildren was apparent and she was so happy for Jack when he commenced his studies in Trinity College. We hope that you will will all come through this sad time.

Dear Dermot, Ruth, and Family. It was with great sadness that I heard of Jack’s passing. I taught Jack statistics and methodology in the academic year 2020/21. Due to COVID, we had to move everything online and we were all very nervous about how it would go. I always appreciated those few students who kept their camera on and made it feel that I was teaching real people, and I can still see Jack’s face smiling back encouragement. He did really well in his Michaelmas exam and despite his difficulties was able to complete the Hilary term exam as a supplemental and again achieved a first class mark. No mean feat for any student, and all the more impressive given the difficulties he was experiencing. Throughout his time in TCD he showed great resilience, humour and dignity, and he is an inspiration to us all. May be rest in peace.
