Deepest sympathy to Ursula and family on the death of your beloved Jack.
Deepest sympathy to Ursula and family on Jacks death. I remember Jack with affection as a good colleague and friend in Denmark Street when I was in North Strand. He was a great character and left a legacy of caring and kindness during his time in Denmark Street. I was delighted to know that he had such a long and happy retirement with all of you.

Dear Fergus & Miriam - thinking of you and all your family as you come to terms with losing Jack. Praying you will know God's peace and comfort at this time. May the many happy memories you all shared with Jack bring you great comfort over the difficult days and months ahead. Thinking of you with love x
I am very sorry to hear of Jack's passing. Denmark Street was my first teaching job and I have such fond memories of it. Jack was always kind and supportive. A gentleman. My condolences to the family.
To Jack’s family
I didn’t know Jack but he seems to have been very much loved by his family and by those whose lives he touched through his teaching years with City of Dublin VEC. He is part of that continuum of good people who enrich the lives of those they meet in life. I hope that we all do justice to him and continue on his legacy.

So sad to hear of Jack's passing.Who God possesses in nothing is wanting. In 1970 i did my h dip hours in denmark st.Jack was a wonderful kind and generous man.He was on the side of the pupils always and to put it mildly he had his challenges with the principal in the other portion of the school beside belvedere.I am retired now but i was always and still am proud to say Jack was my mentor. He shaped my attitude to those i taught.God rest you Jack. You were a true and special educator.
I can still remember playing with our neighbours, the O' Regans, as a young child, on the swing in their back garden. We moved away when I was about six but Mr. O' Regan did not stop being a good and kind neighbour. For the 2.5 years or so that I spent, subsequently, in Clontarf's Orthopaedic Hospital, he visited every Wednesday afternoon. It is the sort of non showy kindness that makes the world a better place and I am saddened to hear of his passing. On behalf of my father, Tom, and myself, I would like to offer our condolences to all the family on the loss of such a good and kind man. We lost my mother, Mairead, last December. She spoke always with affection about the O' Regan family and with gratitude for their kindness.

Our sincerest sympathy to Ursula and the family we are so saddened to hear about Jack's passing. He was a wonderful man and Uncle and we will miss him so much. So many memories over the years from our family gatecrashing the O'Regan house for 2 weeks every summer and having wonderful holidays there. It was so very special also to have him and Ursula at mine and Jackie's wedding in Dublin in 2013. My visits to Ireland in the future won't be the same ever again but I will never forget him. All our love, Steve, Jackie, Alex, Natalie and Jessica xxx
Farewell Jack! You were a larger than life figure to this rookie teacher in Denmark Street all those years ago (1970 to 1974 when I departed to America). They now seem like our halcyon days, we were all young, enthusiastic, and happy. And you were foremost among the established and experienced staff when I joined. Your passing is a reminder that, however few our encounters in latter years, certain figures stand out from our early years, and Jack, you stand out in mine. Gerry
Our thoughts and prayers are with you Fergus & Miriam as you've released your dad. He obviously was an exceptional man and father who left a mark. 2Cor 1: 3-9

Ursula & family, so sorry to hear of Jack’s passing. A great friend to the Murphys, practically one of our own. So many happy memories of a real gentleman and the man who introduced me to the benefits of a late-night bacon sandwich, a life skill I have valued ever since & often fondly refer to. All the O’Regans are in our thoughts. RIP Jack.
