Deepest sympathy to all on this very sad occasion. I regret very much that I will be unable to attend to honour Jack on his final journey. He was a very professional officer and his innate sense of humour was always to the fore. May he rest in peace.
Our heartfelt condolences and sympathies to you all at this sad time.
Fear griúil cáirdiúil cneasta agus fear a bhí i gcónaí ar bharr a phrofisiúin mar Oifigeach sinsereach sa Cór Ordnáis. Ba onóir dhomsa mar Oifigeach seal ghearr a chaitheamh ina comhlúdar. Bhí blas is líofacht teanga iontach aige agus is cuimhin liom aiste a scríobh sé as Gaeilge a fheidfá usáid ina gineráltacht ; ba cuma cé'n ábhar! Ár smaionta is paidreacha lena chlann ar uair a chailliúnt tragóideach. Ar Dheis Dé a anam dílis.
Deepest sympathy to all the family on your very sad news. Jack was a big part of our lives in the Ordnance Corps for many years. May he rest in peace..
