Had a very long chat with Jackie recently on the side of a pitch in Newtown where we tried to put the world to rights. Like me he was watching his grandson play football & you could see the immence pride in his face. Like all football men after that he was off to Dublin to support his other grandson so therefore he was out for the day & he would have it no other way. First met Jackie many years ago in Lamberton at the soccer camps & over the years we had many chats mostly about football or a friendly wave as our paths crossed on the way to matches. Jackie was a gentleman and will be sorely missed by all who knew him. All our thoughts & prayers are with all his family and friends & his Arklow Town family at this sad time. R.I.P. Jackie ❤️.
